By Heather Ashle
Heather Ashle began combing bookstore shelves at an early age, accumulating more titles than she could read in one lifetime. She connected most strongly with stories about dragons and magic, as their immersive and fantastical themes created a welcome distraction from Cystic Fibrosis (CFF.org) and the hours of daily treatments required to keep her alive and reading. While her education took place as much in the halls between classrooms, where she walked from class to class with her nose in books, her studies officially culminated in two English degrees from Oakland University. When she isn’t writing, she continues to immerse herself in the world of fantasy through reading, theater, music, movies, and events like Renaissance Festivals and Witches’ Bazaar.
